Mitchel Musso is one of the stars of new Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb – and he was out to embarrass co-star Ashley Tisdale when he spoke to the press.

“I play Jeremy, this love interest for Candace (Ashley’s character) – you know she does like me a lot in real life, so it’s really easy,” Mitchel quipped.

To which the High School Musical star chipped in with: “He is definitely a dreamer.”

Ashley plays sister Candace in the series about two step-brothers and their backyard adventures during their summer holidays, and her character frequently tries to snitch to her mum about her brothers’ adventures.

She admitted art had imitated life: “I was like the worst younger sister that anybody could have, I would rat on my sister about everything. When she had a boy over I’d be like ‘oh my gosh it’s your bedtime’ and it’d be like 6 o’clock at night and so I’d embarrass her.”

Co-star Caroline Rhea, probably best known for her role as Hilda on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, confessed she’d found a good way to subsidise her Disney pay packet each month: “I’m selling Ashley Tisdale’s autographs on eBay and I’m making a fortune!”
